PrepUp is a mobile app that prepares you for interviews in your field of study. The app offers a wide range of interview questions with analytical feedback, AI-generated questions tailored to users’ preferred job roles, and access to text-based questions through a STAR Master tool for practice on the go. PrepUp empowers job seekers to prepare smarter, faster and better.
Job interviews are widely as one of the most nerve-wracking experiences, second to public speaking. In our research, we identified four main challenges that applicants are currently encountering.

The main objective of this app is to improve communication skills and prepare their answers for the interview questions to increase hiring chances for desired job positions.
Additionally, users can explore job listings and allow them to understand specific requirements and start practicing for those roles.
PrepUp is positioned as a practical, role-focused interview coach built for job seekers who want fast, guided practice and measurable improvement. Unlike Huru, InterviewAI, and Whiz (aka JobWhiz), PrepUp emphasizes scenario-based simulations, community-driven peer feedback, and clear, actionable micro-learning (flashcards & short drills) that reduce anxiety and improve real interview performance. Sources show competitors emphasize AI mock interviews and instant feedback but vary in depth, UX, and learning features.

In this project, I take on a hybrid role as both Product Manager and UX/UI Designer, leading the product vision while designing the end-to-end user experience. As Product Manager, I define the roadmap, prioritize features, listen to the team and ensure every decision aligns with user needs and the overall project goals. At the same time, I collaborated to design intuitive interfaces, craft user flows, create prototypes, and validate solutions through continuous feedback and iteration.
Through this hybrid role, I gained a deeper understanding of how strategy and design intersect to shape a successful product. I learned how to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints while driving a clear product vision. Managing the roadmap and prioritizing features strengthened my decision-making and cross-functional communication skills. On the design side, I refined my ability to translate requirements into intuitive user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, and to validate solutions through continuous feedback and iteration. Overall, this experience taught me how to lead a product from concept to execution while ensuring the user experience remains at the core of every decision.
As an experienced front-end developer, I also take ownership of developing the landing page, translating our brand, design system, and user insights into a responsive and polished experience. This unique combination of strategy, design, and development allows me to move seamlessly from ideation to execution—making sure PrepUp is not only functional and visually engaging, but also technically sound and built for real-world use.
